Got a call from this number earlier today, figured out pretty quick it was a scam so I just blocked it straight away.

I dialled this number out of curiosity since it was unfamiliar to me. Turns out, it’s a total scam. The caller pretends to be a kid saying something like "Mum, my phone’s broken and I’m stuck, can you send me money?" They’re actually borrowing someone else’s phone to trick you. It’s really manipulative, playing on the fact that mums will always want to help their kids in trouble. Don’t fall for it - just block this number straight away!

I decided to call back this number since I didn’t know who it was. Turns out, it’s definitely a scam. The caller pretends to be a kid saying “Mum, can you send me money? My phone’s broken and I can’t get home,” using some random person’s phone to trick you. It’s really awful how they play on your feelings, especially using “mum” to get sympathy. Every mum would panic and want to help straight away. Do yourself a favour and BLOCK this number!
