Got a call today from someone claiming to be from immigration. Sounded proper official but felt dodgy, like a scam. Told them to send everything in writing and hung up. Always a bit suspicious when they call out of the blue like that.

It seems probable that this could be a scam where they're attempting to capture your voice by getting you to say certain phrases like 'yes' and whatnot. I wouldn't be surprised if it were linked to identity theft or impersonation in some way. Stay vigilant!
