I received a text that said something like, "Hello, I’m the HR from the company, you’ve been chosen for part-time/full-time, one mobile phone can make up to 500D GBP, join via wa.me/18739606799" - yeah right, as if!

Got a dodgy text saying I was in contact with someone with Covid and it had a link to click on. Felt a bit fishy, so didn’t touch it. Seems like a scam to me. Watch out!

Looks like this is a known scam. I’ve sent the number over to 7726, which is what Ofcom uses to report spam calls.

Got a text from this number saying I’d been close to someone with a contagious illness. The link took me to a site that looked a lot like an NHS page at first glance but didn’t have any proper NHS links or details. It said something about original PCR tests not picking up omicron, which I know isn’t correct. The message tried to get me to order an omicron PCR test through their link. I didn’t bother clicking on it.
