Got a message from 07547835088, part of that 'Dear Mum' scam where someone pretends to be your kid needing cash urgently. I decided to humour them and see where it went. They claimed I owed £788 that needed paying right away. Then, I got a follow-up text saying they'd passed my phone number to the 'creditor'. Right after, a bloke with an African accent rang me from 07719930130 demanding the £788 debt be cleared. I replied bluntly, telling them to shove off because I knew it was all a scam!
