keeps ringing me up and asking for names that aint mine, then just drops the call.

Some bloke named Michael rang me, claiming he was from the Citizens Advice Bureau regarding my unsecured debts. I had a right laugh and told him, do you really think I’m daft enough to believe the CAB would just phone random folks about debts? Told him to erase my info and blocked the number straight away.

Someone said they were Sam Williams from Citizens Advice Bureau regarding an unpaid debt. When I questioned the name, they just cut the call. Had almost the same call last week but this time they said they was from Manchester. Asked why the number looked like a mobile, no reply. They stuck to some script and got all muddled when I didn't follow it. Kept asking for their Manchester address and they ended the call again. (07935 683671). I've blocked both numbers now.

Some bloke calling himself 'Michael' with an Asian accent claimed he was from the Citizens Advice Bureau. I told him flat out he was a scammer and told him to buzz off. How come his mobile provider hasnt blocked him or his gang? Surely the number has to be traced to somebody!

Got a call claiming to be from CAB about job hunting. I told them I already have a job and asked to take my info off their list, and the bloke just said ‘no, can’t do that, **** off’ and hung up on me.

I got a call from 07547469881 today, and the person said my credit score had fallen below average over the past week because of some unsecured loans and credit card debts. When I tried to get more details about which loans or debts they were talking about, the caller just hung up.

Got a call from 07547 469881, the bloke said he was from somewhere but I couldn’t catch what exactly. He called me by my first name, which kinda freaked me out. Told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. Then he called back, asking why I was ignoring him. I told him I don’t have any unsecured debt. He kept ringing me nonstop, five times in a row, proper pestering. My husband stepped in and took a couple more calls, ended with him saying he’d report the guy if he called again. My phone’s already blocked loads of these calls, can’t block anymore now. Honestly, it’s so frustrating.

Calls supposedly from Citizens Advice Bureau about five times now. The person said my details were recently added by the government as I supposedly have debts and might qualify for debt help. I asked where they found my number, and the answer was ‘the government’. Definitely a scam. I’m getting at least three calls a week from numbers like this. I’ve no debt, never had an accident, no PPI claims needed, and I’m not interested in any pension reviews. Wish my phone had a “Stop bothering me!” button!

they rang me yesterday and again today around the same time, both times claiming I owe money I dont, and just cut me off as soon as I told them that. only picked up cause it was a mobile number.

The same number called me twice, once yesterday and once today. I didn’t get to the phone quick enough so my answerphone picked up. I left a message pretending to be home so the cold caller would believe it was me answering. They said my name and asked if I could hear them, then suddenly the call just ended. Cheers for the info on here, there’s some really nasty people out there trying to scam money off innocent folks, especially older people who might think they owe a debt they’ve actually forgotten about. It’s just awful.

I’ve had this number ring me up four times just today. Every time I pick up, there’s nobody speaking. When I tried to ring them back, the call just wouldn’t go through.

They've rung me the past two days. The first time, my husband told them we’re on the TPS and they just ended the call. Today, I asked them to clarify which debts they were talking about, and they cut me off again.

Got a call today 22nd of July from a bloke claiming to be from some credit fraud team saying I owed unsecured debts, which I don't have. When I told him that, he just hung up. I could hear loads of voices in the background like a call centre. Sounds like one of those dodgy boiler room scams trying to con people out of their cash. Definitely a scam! Oh, and the guy sounded Asian. Almost told him to get lost before I blocked the number.

got a call off some bloke saying he’d checked my details and noticed i’d been denied credit. i hung up on him cos thats not true and he was just making stuff up. also, he didn’t sound local at all.

Got a call from this number from someone saying his name was ‘shane’, but his accent made me think otherwise! He said he was from citizens advice about some debt i supposedly owe. I told him i got the exact same call just yesterday and that i don’t owe anything, then he just hung up quick!

I only picked up because it seemed like a mobile number, then they asked straightaway for my husband by his name, followed by asking if I was Mrs ####. After that, they started talking about some kind of credit deal or owing money.

Got a call from an angry bloke with an Asian accent who kept saying I owed money and that enforcement agents were on their way. I asked him what he was talking about, but he just kept going on about debts under £10,000 and why I hadn’t paid. I told him I had no idea what he meant as I don’t owe anything. Then he tried to say I had a credit card I didn’t. When I asked for some proof in writing, he just hung up on me. Really dodgy call!

I just said I was trying to get hold of my 82 year old mum. Told the guy she wasn’t in and asked what it was about. Of course, he just ended the call right there.

Someone called me saying they had info about a loan I supposedly missed paying and warned they'd come to my place the next day. I never heard of the loan, felt really fishy!
