I got texts from a number 07895 167701 claiming to be EE. But the msgs said they're from EE itself, not just some usual mobile number. Also, EE's actual prefix isn't [###], it's [###]. Seems fishy to me.

Got a strange text about a payment that apparently didn’t go through, but I wasn’t even at home when it supposedly happened.

I got a dodgy text claiming to be from EE, saying my bill wasn’t paid and I needed to update my bank info on some website. I called their customer service for a check and it was a scam for sure! Definitely don’t click on any links in those messages. Just watch out and stay safe, lads!

Got a text from this number not long ago saying something like (ee): they couldn’t process my recent bill and warned about fees unless I updated my payment details using (#ee bill323{###)/ee=2. Had a quick look at my bank transactions and the payment to ee was fine. Feels dodgy, like some sort of scam trying to get info?
