At the start of January, a family member received a rather dubious text purportedly from the NHS. It stated something along the lines of, "Due to recent regulations, you must now submit an application for an obligatory Omicron PCR test." The message contained two links, which thankfully were not accessed. The first link, intended for applying for the test, had a glaring spelling error (it read "Recieve" instead of "Receive"), while the second suggested that reporting results was a requirement. Quite suspicious, to say the least!

Watch out, there’s scammers calling who say they’re from the NHS. Best to ignore and steer clear!

Is this an attempt to get me to click on some Omicron site or what?? Sounds dodgy if you ask me...

I got a call from 07546281957 and it seemed dodgy, like they were trying to pretend to be from the NHS. Definitely felt like some kind of scam to me.

Got a call from someone saying they were with the NHS, but it felt off. They kept asking for personal details, which seemed really dodgy to me. Be careful, could easily be a scam!

Got a text claiming to be from the NHS but the phone number didn’t look legit at all. The message was really vague and didn't even use my name, so defiantly a scam. Watch out, it’s not from the real NHS!

I recently received a text claiming I needed to arrange a PCR test. Thankfully, I did a bit of digging before clicking any links. Total scam!

I received a text purportedly from the NHS stating that I needed to apply for a PCR test, complete with links. Luckily, I decided to look into it before doing anything. Total scam!

I just received a text indicating I must arrange a PCR test. Thank goodness I looked into it prior to clicking any links. What a con!

I’ve just come across this as well-my first instinct was that it was dodgy, especially since the link is riddled with a spelling error.

I've received messages from these numpties for the past couple of days, and the links they provided were utterly useless. Today, I got another one which directs you to a site that seems to mimic the NHS website, but don’t be fooled - it’s a complete con!

It's quite astonishing how these people struggle with something as basic as spelling "receive."

Received a message from this number stating: "NHS: Due to new regulations, you must now apply for an Omnicron PCR test. To apply, please visit: ..." However, it appears that the website doesn't exist. This seems rather dodgy and likely a scam aimed at fleecing money for PCR tests.

I appreciate your input! I've also just received a message like that and, upon searching for the website, discovered that it appears to be non-existent. I concur, it definitely seems to have all the hallmarks of a scam.

I recently had to fill out a PCR test application due to the latest regulations, but I found myself directed to a rather unhelpful website. It felt pretty dodgy, to be honest. Interestingly, I’ve got an outpatient appointment at Ipswich Hospital soon, which got me wondering if this might be part of their new protocols. Is anyone else here familiar with anything related to Ipswich?

Any correspondence from the NHS or UK Government typically appears as NHS or UKGOV, rather than displaying a phone number. It's likely a scam.
