I got a message from this number claiming it was from Apple Pay, but I don’t even use Apple Pay so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam.

Got a text from this number saying my EE bill was unpaid, with a dodgy link to click on ([#]ee-checkandverify[###]). I called EE straight away to check and they confirmed it was a scam. Just wanted to warn others so they don’t fall for it.

Got a call supposedly from EE but the number was totally different. They said my last payment didn’t go through, even though it had, and then sent me a link that looked like the real EE site. Kept pushing me to enter my bank info and login details, warning my account would be cut off within a day if I didn’t sort it. Seemed pretty dodgy to me.

Got a text from this number claiming I owed EE money. It had a link that looked like the EE login page, but when I entered my email, it didn’t actually sign me in. Instead, it went on to ask for billing info and payment details. Proper dodgy people out here trying to nick your money. What really annoys me is that when I looked up this scam, the earliest warning I found was from January 2018, and they’re still at it!

This has got to be one of the most obvious scammers out there, and a pretty rubbish one at that. I mean, their website has a watermark from 2019, yet every official EE page I’ve seen clearly shows 2020 as the current year. Doesn’t take a genius to spot that fake!
