Got a text saying I'd been in contact with someone who had Omicron and to arrange a free PCR test. Followed the link which looked like it was an official NHS page and all seemed legit at first. But then they asked for my credit card info, so I shut it down straight away. Pretty obvious this was a scam!

Similar to what others said, I got a text saying I'd been near someone who just tested positive for the Omicron variant. Thing is, I haven't met anyone in days since I live alone and had day off work. I don’t use any track and trace app either, so this smells fishy to me. I’m actually an NHS worker and was in close contact with a teammate who caught Covid before, yet I never got any alert like this one. Feels like a scam to me.

So this number claims to be from the nhs about being in contact with someone who’s got covid. But like others have said, I haven’t got any track and trace alerts or anything. Feels like another scam to me, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the caller!
