Got a text from 07544804980 on Christmas evening around 7:10pm. It said, “Happy Christmas! Hope you’re keeping well. I’m a receptionist at Linklaters LLP, just reaching out to you.” They went on to say their company’s working with Europol on an international cybercrime investigation. Apparently, they claimed I’d paid money into a dodgy investment site. The message ended asking me to get in touch. Total RIPOFF.
