Absolutely a con! I received a message claiming there was dubious activity on my supposed Apple Pay account and urged me to click a link. The thing is, I don’t even use Apple Pay! I've now blocked the number.

Absolutely dodgy! It’s imperative you block this number right away. Avoid clicking on any links they might send your way. I received a text claiming, “Hi Mum, I've switched to O2. Could you WhatsApp me on this number: 07402238834 to stay in touch?” The WhatsApp contact was, bafflingly, a completely different number than the one that texted! Watch out, folks!

Fraud alert! I just got a message from this number saying, “Hi Mum, I’ve switched to O2 and this is my new number. Message me on WhatsApp at +447402238834, please!” Clearly a load of rubbish-definitely a scam. Avoid it like the plague!
