Got a text from this phone saying it was one of my grown-up kids with a new number. Then they go on about needing a favour and ask if I could lend them over £1000, even giving bank details to send the money. Total scam, dodgy as hell. I just blocked them straight away.

Received a dodgy call from someone trying to impersonate my child, claiming they’d changed their phone number. After a bit of chit-chat, they eventually got to the point, stating they desperately needed funds to settle a bill exceeding a grand. Their request? To transfer the cash directly into a bank account. What a con!
