When I tried calling back, there was no answer, though I got a message saying they could hear me but not the other way round. Then the conversation shifted from texts to WhatsApp, where they asked me to cover some bills. I asked which bills and said I needed to talk face-to-face first. They claimed they’d tried to ring me but couldn’t get through. Once they said the bill was for a MacBook Pro, I immediately realised it was a scam.
