Got a robocall claiming to be from Visa saying there was fraud on my debit card. They told me to press 1 if I wanted to cancel the transaction. Definitely sounded dodgy.

Got a call from someone called Emma and, at first, I got a bit concerned since I do have someone named Emma working here. But when I tried to ask a question to make sure, they just didn’t answer back. So, I ended up blocking the number.

I was proper worried because I thought it might be the same as before, especially since my neighbour’s called Sarah too. It really got me stressed out.

I got a message from this number from someone claiming to be Sarah, saying she was in hospital just like others have mentioned here. I have a mate who’s a bit accident prone and doesn’t own a smart phone, but at the time was on holiday in Italy with friends whose numbers I didn’t have, so I ended up falling for it! I’ve reported it to the police and Action Fraud since this number seems to be used quite often for these scams.

This number texted my ex, his partner and his mum, acting like it was me, Emma. They were all at hospital, and the message asked for the serial code of a phone top-up voucher! I've already told the police via the Action Fraud unit about it.

Poor Sarah’s either stuck in some grim hospital or just having the worst luck ever! I just messaged her back saying I sent over 10k, thinking it might brighten her rubbish day. After that, I went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a text from someone calling themselves "Sarah" - since it's a pretty usual name, I assumed it might be a mate from way back. They said they'd had a nasty fall and injured their left wrist and fibula. Then, they asked me for a favour, wanting £20 worth of O2 credit. Don't be fooled by this - don’t send any cash to this number because it’s a scam trying to rip you off.

Got a message from someone called Sarah out of the blue, which seemed a bit dodgy since hardly anyone else has my phone number. Decided to look it up here before replying, and glad I did. I’m pretty sure if you reply, your number just ends up getting shared with more scammers. Proper lowlifes, honestly!

What a total con! Got a message saying, "Hey, it’s Sarah. Could you do me a favour? Had a nasty fall and broke my fibula and left wrist. Please text me back when you see this x". Next thing, they ask for 20 Network 3 PAYG top-up cards. Absolute rubbish, watch out!

I almost fell for it since I actually know a Sarah T - though, weirdly, her number wasn't saved in my contacts. Pretty sure now it’s one of those dodgy scams.

So this number texted me saying she was ‘Sarah from 12’ and claimed she’d broken her fibula and needed a favour. Since I’ve no clue who Sarah is, I replied saying ‘I think you’ve got the wrong number, sorry,’ figuring that’d be the end of it. But nope, she texted back asking if I’d bought the voucher yet cos she needed it before her operation. Honestly, wouldn’t have guessed it was a scam if I hadn’t checked this site. Pretty sure they picked the name Sarah because it’s quite common and people often know a Sarah. Lucky for us we don’t!

I was proper shook up, thinking me mate Sarah might have been in some sort of crash. I phoned her other half straight away, only to find out she was absolutely fine, just sat right there with him. Nearly gave me a heart attack all over some scumbag trying to con me out of a phone voucher! Seriously, what’s this world turning into nowadays?
