I got a call on my landline from the number 07542 591247. I’m not sure if that was the real number or something spoofed. A woman with an Asian accent said she was calling about a service to stop all nuisance calls, silent calls, and scammers. She already knew my name and first part of my address, probably from some public records or directory. Then she asked for my bank info to set up a payment plan charging £3 monthly for up to five years. I told her she was running a scam and hung up straight away.
