Got an email dated 4/2/25 claiming to be from Royal Mail saying I missed a parcel and to follow a link. Since I wasn’t waiting for anything, I figured it was dodgy. Just want to warn everyone to watch out for this scam, it came from a mobile number 07542567598.

My lad got a message from this number saying it was Royal Mail, asking for £1.99 to sort out a redelivery after a missed parcel. He, unfortunately, clicked the link which looked pretty authentic, like Royal Mail’s own site, and ended up paying the £1.99. Thankfully, he rang the bank straight away to stop the payment and cancel his card. Just to be clear, Royal Mail always leaves a card if they try to deliver and they don’t usually charge for redelivery! They might ask for extra if there's a postage shortfall, but nothing for redelivery. These scammers really don’t give up, do they?
