I picked up the phone and some bloke said something about my policy being expired. I asked what policy he meant, but he just went quiet. Tried asking again but no answer, just dead silence. Weird call that was.

It was really late, like 3 or 4 in the morning, when they rang me. I usually ignore unknown numbers but a few days prior I did pick up, just to say hello and some bloke replied. That really weirded me out so I ended the call. Then, as soon as I hung up, they rang again but this time I just didn’t pick up.

Total nonsense, they kept asking for my info when everything’s already on Companies House if they really needed details. Like others have said, it feels like they’re accusing me of dodgy trading or something. Some so-called design team got in touch but wouldn’t verify anything over email. Don’t fall for this rubbish, it’s definitely a SCAM.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Regional Crime Enforcement, telling me not to worry that I wasn't in any trouble! They started rambling about needing my help to stop dodgy traders nearby, then just ended the call out of the blue. Bit disappointing, I was ready to tell them to sort themselves out first.

At first, they try to convince you they’re connected to the police, saying they’re from some Federation Of Regional Crime Enforcement, pointing out dodgy traders. It’s a bit rich, considering these scammers are the real dodgy ones. They want you to buy adverts for a magazine called Business Force - just check out the Trustpilot reviews to see the mess if you hand over your info. Best bet? Put them on hold and go brew yourself a proper cuppa.

some woman called me claiming to be from the regional crime federation or whatever, I was like "what the hell for?" and she freaked out and just hung up on me.

Somebody rang me saying they were from the crime prevention federation or summat. They went on about checking my details and qualifications to stop dodgy traders or something like that. Then they started with, "I see loads of good feedback about you nearby," but when I asked exactly where, they just cut me off instantly. Total rubbish.

So this person called me from something like the Regional Crime Commission, said her name was Kay or Kate. I just said hello and she immediately hung up. Bit suspicious if you ask me. I tried calling back and got a voicemail from some Business Initiative saying they're getting loads of calls and to leave my info and phone number. Obviously, I didn’t leave anything. Feels quite shady, but I have no clue who to even report this to. Anyone got any idea?

Got a call from someone claiming to be from the state police and crime commission, asking if I'd like to place an advert. When I asked what the benefit was, they just said it would be published in my local newspaper. I told them I could just reach out to my local paper directly. Got a call from someone with a northern accent, sounded Scouse, maybe the same person from last week pitching a local schools magazine aimed at small businesses. The woman on the first call was really smooth, she asked me for a reference and that somehow turned into asking for my birthdate. I was suspicious and checked the website - total scam! They wanted me to pay £95 for some useless publication. Then I got another call from a pushy bloke trying to grab my card details. These people are awful, proper scammers. Hope the police manage to track them down.
