My mum got a message on WhatsApp from this number, with someone pretending to be me saying I’d got a new phone number. Long story short, they managed to con her out of £4000. They even knew her and my name, so I reckon it’s a pretty clever fraud or data leak thing going on. We’ve told the bank and Action Fraud about it, so fingers crossed they catch these nasty scammers eventually.
