I received a rather peculiar call earlier from someone claiming to be from BT. They suggested that my internet was being misused by my neighbours in some dodgy manner. The caller promised to outline the steps I could take to put a stop to it. After expressing my gratitude and stating that I'd handle it myself, I decided to hang up, feeling a bit uneasy about the whole conversation. Is it common for such matters to be addressed via a mobile number?

It was just like the last time I reported this. I also got a feeling it was some kind of scam. They kept telling me my BT internet was hacked or something. The thing is, I don’t even have BT!

Got another random call just an hour after the last one.

I got a call from someone claiming my internet was being used without permission. I said thanks but told them I'd handle it myself, then ended the call. Felt like a dodgy scam to me.
