Watch out, this is definitely a con! Got a message saying "Dad, save this new number" but I don’t have a son called John or anyone like that. I replied "Hi John, got the number saved" just to see what happens. Then they asked, "Could you do me a favour?" so I said "Alright, what do you need?" Next thing, they want me to help with a payment because apparently, they can’t access online banking on the new number for a day. They were asking if I could transfer £950 for them and they'd pay me back the next day. Obviously, I blocked the number straight away. Don’t get caught out!

Got a text from someone claiming to be my daughter but it was from a number I’ve never seen before. Sounds dodgy to me.
