I received a phone call with a pre-recorded message claiming that my Amazon account was set to renew for the year at a cost of £79.99. It instructed me to press a button to speak with someone about the matter. However, the number they used is not associated with Amazon, plus I’m aware that we pay on a monthly basis. Clearly, this is a scam! Interestingly, they contacted me yesterday from a different number, but it was the exact same message and details. The numbers I’ve noted are 07540 042817 and 07540 051766. I've now blocked both of them, and I highly recommend that anyone else who comes across this also takes the same precaution.
