I've had three calls today from what seems like the same scam bunch - first from a landline 0116 298 3005, then a mobile 07773306461, and now this other mobile number. Each time they claimed to be from Lloyds Bank, speaking with thick Asian accents and trying to get my postcode while calling me by name. I've blocked them all and won't be picking up any unfamiliar mobile numbers anymore.

I got a call today from this number. The bloke on the line had a really thick Asian accent and said he was from Lloyds Bank, asking me to confirm my name and address. When I asked why he was calling, he just kept repeating my details and wanted me to confirm. That’s when I ended the call and rang my bank straight away.

I reckon this number is part of some scam trying to take payment, cos I also got an email signed by someone called Vikram, which seems weird for official Indian government communication. Got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from Lloyds TSB. Do not trust these calls, they're definitely trying to scam you. I’m not even a customer of that bank. When they ask for your name, just reply with 'who's asking?' They're trying to get your details to rip you off.

Someone with an Asian accent called me, saying they were from Lloyds Bank. They tried to get me to verify my info. I knew a bank wouldn’t ring from a mobile number. It’s clear this is a scam to steal your personal info and probably your money too. Best not to pick up at all.

Got a call from an Asian woman claiming to be from Lloyds TSB, asking me to confirm my postcode, age, and which bank I use. When I asked what the info was for, she said it was for feedback. I don’t even have an account with Lloyds and she was calling from a mobile number. I refused to say which bank I’m with, and then she just hung up on me.

I’ve never actually picked up when this number rings. I always ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise, then look them up afterwards. It’s simpler for folks with caller ID on their phones, but not everyone has that, so they sometimes pick up. When I’ve answered random calls before, my reply usually isn’t very polite, which makes them hang up pretty quick. Just be careful out there.

Got a call from a bloke with a thick Asian accent saying his name was David Smith. Claimed he was ringing from the ‘Windows Service Centre’ at Microsoft here in England. I asked which part of England and he said Hull. No disrespect to Hull, but I’m pretty sure Microsoft don’t have an office there in the UK. So I just ended the call!

Some bloke rang saying he was from Legal & General. When I asked what the call was about, he started getting a bit rude, telling me again he was from Legal & General. I told him I wasn’t going to give any details unless he explained, and then he just hung up on me!

I did what they asked and gave them access to a virtual machine I set up with loads of empty files named stuff like "bank details" and "bank passwords".
