I got a call on my mobile the other day, and when I picked up, there was a recorded message claiming my national insurance number was involved in some criminal stuff. The voice said my NI number was suspended due to fraud and if I didn’t act, I’d be arrested. It told me to press 1 to talk to an officer. I just ended the call straight away. Later, I tried ringing the same number from my home phone but it just said the number wasn’t valid. Sounds like some scam to me.
