We've encountered a similar situation. It all began with a cheeky message: "Hey there. ;)". Naturally, we thought it could be someone I’d bumped into the night before, so we responded. Then came the curious reply: "Could I kindly ask what your name is? I’m Tayyab from London. And you? ;)". At that moment, we were utterly baffled. When we asked if we recognised each other, the reply was: "Nope, I haven’t met you, but I look forward to it. So, are you in London too? By the way, are you male or female?". At that point, we decided to stop responding. Clearly, it was just some dodgy character up to no good.

Oh, how funny! I got a message back saying they'd looked into the number and stumbled upon this discussion, where they'd already flagged these folks as spammers. The reply I received was just a sad face emoji, which made me chuckle! HAHAHAHA!
