I got a call from someone saying they were Amazon, but the number was a UK mobile one. They told me there was a payment of around £700 stuck in my Amazon wallet and wanted me to press a link in a security text that supposedly came from Amazon. Luckily, I wasn’t working and could quickly log into my account to double-check things. Before clicking anything, I asked the caller to prove they knew my account by naming the last two things I bought. After that, they just hung up. Definitely felt like a scam trying to steal money or details.
