i got a call from one of those call centres, they were looking for someone called Karen, which isnt me (though my name does start with ak). before i could say anything, they just hung up on me! quite strange really.

They keep ringing me over and over, but as soon as I pick up, they just hang up. I’ve messaged them asking nicely to quit it, so let’s see if that works! It’s really frustrating since it’s a mobile number, so you’d imagine it’s a proper one.

Cheers for the comments. They're pestering me as well. Now they're switching to mobile numbers instead of 020 or other landlines, probably to make it seem like it’s a genuine person or maybe a mate with a new number. Bloody annoying!

Had a call from a woman with a foreign accent saying my PPI claim had gone through and the money would be in my account in a week. Then she asked for my bank info, but when I began to question her, she just ended the call.

got a call about £1800 supposedly owed from a previous address. they had some pretty convincing details about me which was quite worrying. kept pushing to get my bank info, but i wouldn’t give it. they eventually backed off but were really insistent before that.

There was a pause before someone with an accent I couldn’t place asked to speak to Mr Frank. I just told them they’d got the wrong number.

I got a call about PPI stuff and when I tried asking which company they were from and how they had my info, they just cut me off.

I got a call from someone claiming my credit score was dropping. They said a credit official asked them to ring me. I brought up GDPR and asked how they got my number, then they just hung up.

So, like before, they reckoned I was owed thousands from some PPI claim. The worrying part is they seemed to know loads about me already. Then they asked for my bank info, but when I asked why on earth I'd share that, they just cut me off.

Got a call from someone saying I paid off a big credit card debt back in 2010 and that I’d made a claim with this company called Claim Easy. They knew loads of stuff about me from way back then, so at first it sounded proper convincing. But they kept me on the line forever, asking all these dodgy questions that didn’t seem to make much sense. Seemed a bit fishy to me.
