Got a call at about 2.24pm on 11/8/23 telling me my bank was worried about a £800 charge on my Visa card from some gambling site in the US. They asked me to press 1 to get more info on what to do next. I just hung up straight away because I dont even have a Visa card and the robotic voice gave it away as a scam.

Got a ring from this number, they said they were calling on behalf of Amazon.

This number just rang me up with some robot voice pretending it’s Visa, warning about a dodgy bet transaction from the US. Total load of rubbish if you ask me. It’s pretty obvious it’s a scam with all the classic signs. I’m gonna report it to Action Fraud for sure.

They rang three times today, all from numbers beginning with 07. I didn’t say anything, just let it ring and then they hung up. I was just checking to see if anyone would pick up.
