Got a call from someone claiming to be from the assessment team at Barclays, but I've never even opened an account with them. They insisted on chatting with me by my first name too. Quite fishy if you ask me.

I got a call from this number earlier and they were talking about helping me get some money back from my bank, but it came with a monthly charge. When I asked where they got my details from, they just wouldn’t say. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked them now. Sounds like one of those PPI type calls to me.

This is the first time I’ve got a call from this number. I’ve never dealt with lawyers so I doubt Slater and Gordon have any of my details. I didn’t pick up and I’m hesitant to call back because I’m worried about racking up a huge bill.

Got a call from someone saying they could help me reclaim bank fees for travel insurance and stuff. At first, a friendly woman chatted away to me. Then after a hold, a bloke came on and asked me to give my bank account details. I said no, and he insisted they were legit and just needed me to confirm to move forward. When I still didn’t, he got all annoyed. I just hung up. Pretty clear this was a scam if you ask me.

Got a call from this number and decided to call back just to mess around, but it said the number isn't valid anymore. I reached out to the Information Commissioner's Office to ask how these phantom numbers even operate, but they weren't much help at all. Now I'm checking with Sky Mobile to see if they can tell me who owns the number.

Got a call saying I'd been in an accident and was owed some compensation. But then they said I had to pay them a grand straight away before they'd send anything over. They kept going on about some solicitors called Slater and Gordon who apparently shared all my details with them. Total scam.

Got a call earlier and I immediately thought it was just some spam. Told the person they must’ve got the wrong number. But then the caller asked if I was really sure, like they already knew who they were talking to. They started asking stuff that they clearly found on my Facebook. Bit freaky if you ask me.

Today they phoned me two times within just an hour. After seeing what folks wrote here, I kinda wish they call again. Think I'll mess about and waste their time for a change, see how they react to that!

They kept calling me late even after 9 at night. They said they were claim handlers but why on earth would they use a mobile number instead of a proper business line? Seems fishy to me.

Received three calls within a couple of hours from this number. They asked if I’d been in an accident and how I was doing. I told them no and asked where they got my number from and to remove me from their list, then they just hung up. Seems dodgy to me, a proper call centre should explain how they got your details. It sounded like an offshore call centre, maybe India or somewhere noisy and chaotic. I've had quite a few calls like this from Asian-sounding callers claiming I’d been in some accident.
