On 23/11/2022, my phone buzzed from 07743750604. Didn’t know the number, but since I’m expecting some parcels thought it might be the delivery service. I picked up and some recorded voice said it was from “HMRC” telling me I was dodging taxes and needed to press “1” to talk to an advisor or else face court. I just ended the call and looked up the number online - seems highly unlikely HMRC would ring a mobile number like that! I sent a quick warning to my folks so they wouldn’t freak out or press “1” if they got the same call. Best advice: just ignore and hang up!

Got a call from someone pretending to be Amazon telling me I needed to pay £1700 for an iPhone they said I bought. I don't even have Apple stuff! When I tried ringing them back, the line just went straight to busy. Definitely dodgy!
