Got a message saying I had to update my info about the flu jab, but my doctor and I both know I’m not entitled to it. The text also asked me to book the vaccine via a website link. Nearly clicked on it, but then noticed it was sent from a mobile number. Since I’ve had proper texts from my GP before, I guessed this one was suspicious and probably dodgy.

Got a text saying there’s a shortage of blood test tubes and that all tests are being put on hold. I’m not even booked in for any tests! Real messages like that usually come from your doctor’s surgery or an official NHS number. Marked it as spam straight away. Could cause loads of panic for folks who don’t know this was just some dodgy number pretending to be from the NHS while waiting on their own tests.

But when I called, I just got a voicemail saying the centre is shut. Thought I'd share in case anyone else gets the same thing! Morthen Road Surgery.

Got a text earlier on today saying I should click a link to get more info about coronavirus from the NHS website. I didn’t tap on it, so I’m not sure if it’s real or a scam, but it seems odd the NHS would message me straight when everything’s already on the news. I’d say it’s safer not to click and just ignore the message altogether!
