Got a notification about a supposed HSBC fraud alert saying $0.00 on the 19th of September at 6:20 with some code FITQAPPCOM 2295364858. Had no clue what that was so I freaked out and rang my bank through their app straight away. The person on the other end told me the Fraud Department was checking it out. My account seems to be frozen but I don’t see any alerts myself. Planning to pop into the branch tomorrow to sort it out.

DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS HSBC!! Got a text from this number saying I’d been scammed. Rang my bank straight away and they told me there’s nothing wrong. This number actually sent me a genuine text. Someone had somehow got hold of all my debit card digits. I didn’t respond, but I did call HSBC straight away and they confirmed it was them. They've cancelled my card and sent out a replacement already. Thankfully, the bank blocked the payment in time. Big thanks to HSBC for sorting it out. This was definitely HSBC and a real fraud warning. I found the text a bit fishy, asking me to reply with Y or N about a purchase I didn’t know. So I rang HSBC using the number on my debit card. Got some texts today about suspicious activity on my account. I called HSBC myself and turns out the messages were legit, actually from HSBC.

This is NOT HSBC, it's a phishing scam!! We rang the number on the back of our card and this isn’t one of their official fraud lines!!! Anything said here that says otherwise is just wrong!
