Got a notification about a supposed HSBC fraud alert saying $0.00 on the 19th of September at 6:20 with some code FITQAPPCOM 2295364858. Had no clue what that was so I freaked out and rang my bank through their app straight away. The person on the other end told me the Fraud Department was checking it out. Got the same text as a few other people here. It seemed a bit dodgy to me, so I rang HSBC myself. They confirmed it’s a scam and asked me to send the message over to [email protected][###], then just delete it afterwards.

This is for sure a genuine call or message from the HSBC fraud team. I reacted straight away cos someone was tryin to take money from my account without me realising. So if you get a message or call from this number, dont ignore it, its legit.

Got a text from this number saying it was HSBC Fraud. I rang the number on the back of my card and they told me it wasn’t from HSBC at all and to just ignore it.
