Got a text from this number saying a payment was done via Zettle to Mobilezone, which confused me at first. I looked up the number here to see if it was dodgy, but then I spotted the same payment on my bank statement. Turns out it was an actual transaction we'd made, just didn’t recognise the payee name right away. So yeah, this time it was legit, but scammers can clone numbers these days, so it’s always a good shout to double-check anything strange showing up in your bank details.

I find this really strange because I use iZettle for payments. The transaction itself was definitely legit, but the receipt got sent to me instead of my customer, even though I entered their phone number. I checked with iZettle and they said that’s not something that should happen. Proper weird!

I actually was waiting for this message. Izettle is basically a digital receipt thing that a few small shops use when you pay by card. If someone types their number wrong, it just means the receipt could end up with the wrong person - not a big deal really. The link they send is safe to open, it’s nothing more than what you'd find on an ordinary paper receipt. Plus, there’s a way to reach out to Izettle right there on the receipt to ask them to delete your info if you want.

scam alert - they really stepped it up this time. got a message saying I’d been charged £325 to someone called karen westland via izettle, with some weird izettle reference number. feels like they use a big amount to scare you into either ringing them, replying, or clicking some dodgy link that might let them into your phone. just ignore, delete and block straight away!

i got a text claiming i'd paid £22.00 and it included some kind of receipt. it was over so fast i didn’t catch the company’s full name, only that it began with mydot. when i tried to call back the number, 07537415555, the phone said it wasn’t a real number. kinda confusing and fishy if you ask me.
