I got a call claiming to be from Visa Security, which I thought was odd since normally the bank handles transaction checks themselves. They said they were verifying a couple of overseas payments adding up to around £1500. When you go through the automated voice, it connects you to a really noisy call centre that sounds like it’s on a farm or something, with loads of background racket and a speaker who had a clear Indian accent. If you start asking questions, they just cut the call straight away. Smells like a phishing scam to me. It wasn’t a call on my mobile handset either.

Got a call from someone saying two payments had been taken from my "card" without permission. They never mentioned which bank, just said they were from some "security team". Then asked me to press 1 or 2 to speak to their "specialist" who would sort out my refund! Total con artists and fraudsters.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 'security', saying there'd been two dodgy charges on my card. They never mentioned which bank, just kept pushing me to hit 1 or 2 to speak to their 'specialist' who could help recover my cash. Total con artists, don't fall for it!
