The person on the line mentioned something about a claim, but it all felt a bit dodgy to me. I decided not to waste my time and just cut the call short.

Just received a peculiar call from this number. They went on about how I was supposedly due a cheque for £2500, yet claimed if I took it to my bank, I’d only get £850. Oddly enough, they then asked if I had life insurance, promising me the full amount if I did. When I declined their life insurance offer, they didn’t take it well at all, getting quite pushy and questioning why I wouldn’t want my money! After that, I just hung up on them. Definitely feels like a scam - caller: ‭07537 186552‬.

I’ve received a couple of calls from this particular number, and each time they claim that my PPI claim has gone through successfully. They keep asking which bank account I’d like the funds transferred to. However, when I mention that I'd prefer to receive a cheque instead, they abruptly hang up on me. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!
