Got a woman on the phone telling me the police are involved because I haven’t paid some taxes, something like MH R C. They called me four times on the 2nd and 4th of July, both times in the morning around 9.39 and then again about 1.06, from a number starting with 01825.

Received a phone call earlier from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was with HMRC. He asked for my postcode, but I didn’t give it. Then he got mad, saying the police were coming because there was a warrant out for me. We argued back and forth, and suddenly he shouted out my full name and address, getting really rude and aggressive. Honestly, no matter how much they seem to know, it’s a total scam. I firmly told him to stop and ended the call. Watch out for this kind of thing!

Got a call in Truro, Cornwall back on 2 July 2020 from a woman claiming to be HMRC. She said I owed some tax and told me to press 1 to speak to an officer looking into it. Didn't seem legit at all, as HMRC wouldn’t make calls like that. So, I just cut the call and promptly deleted the number so no one in my family would accidently ring it. Pretty clear it was a scam.
