My mum got a call from this number, and when she picked up, the person said something like "you are not under investigation." Tried ringing back but it just says "number not recognised." Seems really fishy to me.

I’ve been receiving these annoying silent calls from this particular number and it’s driving me mad! Honestly, I’ve got no clue who it could possibly be. At this point, I’m beginning to suspect it’s some sort of faulty automated system rather than an actual person on the other end. In any case, I’ve had enough and gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from 07537173817 today but didn’t pick up. People often wonder why these calls just drop off when you answer. Got a call from a woman with an accent asking for me by my first name. When I asked why she was calling, she hinted it was about some debt. Luckily that’s not something I’m dealing with. Some bloke called himself Joseph, said he was from a government dept help line that could clear up to 70% of my debt. Then asked for my full name: mr a.r kidding, D.O.B 25-12-0000, N.I number fk12 34 56 u, mums maiden name mcboatface, and my full address as 10 downing street. I told him I owed £2,000,000. He carried on, said "very funny," called me a bad man, then hung up. Always fun, never hears from me for months after!

This number has rung me 5 times today. I picked up once and they just ended the call after about 3 seconds. I blocked the number right after the first call coz I read some reviews here. But they still managed to call me 4 more times from the exact same number. I’m registered with the Telephone Preference Service too. Fingers crossed this isn’t one of those scams that hit you with big fees just for picking up.
