Got a couple of calls with no caller ID claiming to be from the nationwide fraud team, but I didn’t pick up. Then I got a text from the same number saying something like: Nationwide Card used at Argos (£799) on 07/09/26! Reply YES if you okayed it, N if not. Payment cancelled. I did a quick search of the number and found out loads of others got the exact same message - it’s definitely a scam. I even rang up Nationwide myself to double-check. Just a heads up to watch out for this!

Got a message from Nationwide about a card being used for £799 at Argos on 7th September 26. It said to text back YES if it was me, or N if it wasn’t. Then it said the payment was cancelled. Quite worrying!
