I got a message from one of these numbers and, as a mum, I decided to call it. Since then my phone’s been acting up like never before. I’ve had to do a factory reset twice now. After the first reset, I secured it with a passcode and fingerprint, but somehow someone managed to change the password and lock me out completely. Had to reset it again through my Google account. Hopefully, tomorrow when it asks for my password it won’t be changed again. Honestly, don’t make the same mistake and ring this number.

I strongly advise against calling this number! I received a message from 07856019458 that read, "Mum, could you ring me on 07537143145? I'm having trouble with my phone and need your assistance." Naturally, as a parent, I dialled the number immediately. However, it was oddly silent on the other end, prompting me to hang up. Moments later, another text came through stating, "Mum, I can't hear you." After that, I reached out to my daughters to clarify the situation, only to learn that none of them had sent that message. An overwhelming sense of panic began to set in, leading me to perform a factory reset on my phone. I secured it with both my fingerprint and a password. A few days later, I was prompted to enter my password, but to my dismay, it had been altered (and not by me!), which left me locked out of my own device. I then resorted to using my Google account to reset it again. As of now, I won’t know if the password has been tampered with until tomorrow. 😕

I got a text from this number saying something like "Hi mum, my phone’s acting up, can you ring me on this instead?" Definitely a scam. Best to ignore it, block the number, and get rid of the message. Don’t fall for it!
