Got a couple of messages pretending to be someone from my family, saying they lost their phone and all their files, and need cash fast to cover bills. They asked for precisely £1090, asking me to send it to a Priyanka Nada. Definitely looks like a scam!

Got a call from this number, someone claiming to be my son saying he’d changed his phone. Then he starts off with “hi mum” and suddenly he’s got a couple of bills that need paying urgently. Pretty obvious scam trying to get money out of me.

I got a text from this number acting like it was my son, saying he'd lost his phone and this was his new number. Then suddenly he said he was in a bit of trouble, needed money for two bills that were due today. When I asked how much, it was £900.09. I told them I don’t have that kind of money in my account, then they asked if I had a credit card. I said no, and then just got an OK and an x back. Bit fishy if you ask me.
