Just like the others here, got a ring from a mobile with a recorded message saying HMRC was suing me and to press 1 to talk to my case officer. Nah, I might be daft sometimes but not daft enough to fall for that. I’m pretty sure HMRC can’t just send recorded messages like that about legal stuff, they’re supposed to notify you properly in writing. Plus, I haven’t done anything dodgy anyway.

Got a call from 07537121044 on the 5th of Jan, 2018. It was a lady’s voice, very robotic, saying something about HRMC and that they were opening a case against me. I pressed 1 like it asked, but then the phone just cut off. Really dodgy!

So this person called me saying they were from HMRC and threatening some legal case. I asked them where exactly they were calling from, and they started going on about some place called Parliament Square in London. Then I wondered why they weren’t ringing from my actual tax office, and that’s when they just cut the call.

Got a call from some robot voice saying it was HMRC and told me to press 1. Don’t fall for it, just end the call straight away! It’s definitely a con. Make sure you tell your mates and family about it - post on Facebook, send a message, or just tell them face to face. Older folks and anyone who’s more vulnerable are the biggest targets for these scams, so watch out!

Got a recorded call pretending to be from HM Customs & Excise saying they’re taking legal action against me. They told me to press 1 to talk to someone about the 'case'. Total scam alert! HMRC actually have a warning on their site about dodgy calls asking you to pay tax using iTunes vouchers. Don’t get tricked like I almost did. If you’re unsure, best ring your actual tax office instead of answering these calls. Avoid it completely!

Got a voicemail on my landline from someone claiming to be from the hmrc or something similar (couldn't really make out the exact name). They told me to press 1 to talk to my case officer. I just cut the call straight away. Honestly, these dodgy lot should be cracked down on by the phone companies or the cops.
