They claimed their driver from DPD couldn’t deliver a package, but here’s the thing - we live and work right in the building, and have a Ring doorbell plus cameras all around the place. I nearly fell victim to a scam where they attempted to extort money from me to resend an item. As someone who struggles with learning difficulties, I found the whole experience quite distressing. It’s truly appalling how low some individuals will sink.

Got a call from someone pretending to be DPD about a parcel, a bit more believable than usual scams, but honestly, still pretty obvious.

Just got one of those fake missed delivery calls from DPD again, typical scam stuff.

Got a text from 44 7536699578 saying it was DPD about a missed parcel. Thing is, no one even knocked or called to deliver anything. Plus, our usual DPD bloke always drops parcels off in a safe spot if we’re not home. They want £1.99 to redeliver, which I’m pretty sure is just a con to steal money.

Today (14/08/21) I got two missed delivery alerts supposedly from DPD, the first one around 7:56 am and then another one just after 2 in the afternoon. Definitely a scam trying to trick me.
