Got a text claiming to be from HMRC, but totally looks like a scam. Don’t click any links or reply. Better to stay safe and ignore it!

Just got a call from someone pretending to be from HMRC saying I owe £700 in back taxes. Felt like a total scam to me! Don’t fall for it, they just want your money.

+44 7535 892957 sent me a message claiming to be TSB saying a new payee named mrs k adams was added. I instantly knew it was a con cos my bank’s not TSB and i don’t know anyone by that name. They included a link to “confirm payment” too. I’m fed up of getting calls and texts from dodgy numbers like this all the time. Whenever i ring them back, it’s like my number’s blocked. How do they even get hold of my digits? Absolutely done with it now.

Beware of this Apple Pay con! Got a call claiming my Apple Pay was compromised, totally bogus. Don’t fall for it, they just want your info.
