Got a call that said it was from Nationwide, with a number to ring if I hadn’t asked for a verification code. Checked my Nationwide app and there was nothing there, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. The message was about a payment verification code, but as far as I know, it won’t work unless you enter it yourself. Looks like they’re just trying to catch people out who panic about unexpected codes. Best to just block the number!
