We posted an ad on Gumtree and this bloke got in touch, but he ended up scamming us and now, whenever we ring his number, no one picks up. If anyone knows anything else about him, please drop a comment here.

The building materials were top notch, and honestly, the guy was super nice. I rang him early this morning because I needed the delivery today instead of Tuesday, and he didn’t even ask for any extra cash. I called around half past eight, and he told me to hang tight for an hour while he sorted it out. Just over an hour later, about an hour and 40 minutes, he rocked up right at my place. Proper good service!

A few days back I purchased some construction materials from a guy I found on Gumtree. I had seen the reviews beforehand and decided to take a chance. Everything arrived today, just like he said - actually turned up about twenty minutes early. I’d definitely suggest him if you’re after building supplies. As for that comment about him trying to scam you for five quid, I don’t buy that at all; he didn’t trick me out of £486.72 or anything.

This bloke keeps switching his location and his name all the time on Gumtree. If he promises to sort you out with something, don’t count on it - he’ll string you along for ages. Trust me, he'd happily con you out of a fiver without blinking. Proper sad character.

Someone got in touch about the garden bark I was after on Gumtree. He claimed he lived close and could drop it off. When I asked for his address and said I could pick it up myself, he wouldn’t give it out. This felt familiar since I had a very similar experience with an ad I put up for insulation boards. Seems like a bit of a dodgy move.
