Just got a text from 07534739553 yesterday (Sunday) that started with something like "Lloyds alert" saying there was a new payee added to my account. At first, I freaked out but then it hit me - I don’t even have a Lloyds bank account. Pretty sure it was a scam trying to scare me. Proper unsettling, that.

On the evening of Sunday, 2nd May, around 10:12 pm, I received a text from this number saying something about a Lloyds alert and a new payee being added to the app. Sounds fishy to me, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

On Sunday, 2nd May, I got a call from +44 07534 739553 around noon. The person on the other end said I'd just set up a new payee on my Nationwide account. Another rubbish scammer wasting their time on a Sunday, scrolling through phone numbers trying to scam people out of cash.
