Somebody called saying they were from Royal Bank Of Scotland, asking me to check my RBS account to see if there were better options for my investments. Felt a bit fishy to me.

I missed a call from this number, so I decided to ring back and enquire who it was. The woman on the other end refused to engage and promptly disconnected. When I attempted to reach out again, I was met with a constant busy signal. It seems likely that she’s blocked me. Given other folks' feedback, I wouldn't be surprised if this is some sort of scam or fraudulent activity.

I recently had a rather peculiar encounter myself. A call came through, with someone claiming they wished to discuss my bank details. When I suggested a face-to-face meeting at the branch instead, I was informed that it could only be conducted over the phone and would supposedly only require ten minutes of my time. I found that highly suspicious, especially since the call was from a withheld number. I decided to end the conversation there-definitely a scam, if you ask me!

Received a call that claimed to be from RBS, supposedly reaching out to all clients for a review of their spending habits in light of the increasing cost of living. They weren't overly insistent, and I politely declined their offer. Later, I decided to ring the number back after missing their call, but the response was odd; instead of a proper greeting, I was met with just a woman's voice saying “hello.” It felt a bit peculiar, to be honest.

I have a strong suspicion that this is a dodgy scheme. They pretended to be the Royal Bank of Scotland, scheduling a financial review with me. However, once I ended the call, I tried ringing the mobile number back only to be directed to a Giffgaff voicemail - which definitely doesn't belong to a bank! When I reached out to the Royal Bank of Scotland, they advised me to disregard that call and refrain from sharing any personal details. They suggested that if I wanted to discuss anything with RBS, I should either call them directly or visit a branch in person. It seems like a classic scam to me!
