Picked up the call but heard total silence at first. Suddenly, there was a buzz, then this robotic woman with a clear American accent started saying something about owing taxes to HMRC and that I should press 1 or 2 to avoid some sort of legal trouble. Tried looking up the full number but nothing showed, just the start of it, 07532, turned up on a site flagging it as a likely HMRC text scam. Definitely would advise anyone getting calls like this to block the number, delete any messages, and report it straight away.
