I told them I had plenty but wouldn’t say a thing unless they could tell me which GP practice I’m registered with. They couldn’t name it, but insisted whatever I said would be passed on to my doctor and another group would get in touch. Felt like a total scam to me.

They freaked out saying “NO NO NO” which made me even more sure it was dodgy. Honestly, best to just block this number and report it to the proper people. Don't fall for it!

Some bloke said he was from the “credit investigation bureau,” whatever that is, but I know for a fact there's no such agency here in the UK. Bloke spoke with an Indian accent, claiming to be from Citizens Advice. I said straight up, "No way, you're not!" and hung up then blocked him right away. Lately, I’m getting flooded with calls from random mobile numbers, it’s getting ridiculous. Would really love to find out who’s sold our details to these scammers. Proper violation of GDPR, if you ask me.

I normally ignore calls from numbers starting with +44 since thats the UK code when calling from outside. They might say its from somewhere in the UK like a city or just say United Kingdom if its a mobile, but I still dont pick up. Over the years ive blocked loads of these annoying calls cause most are actually illegal spam or scams.

If you get a call from someone saying they’re from the GMC, don’t share any personal info and just hang up straight away. Make sure you report the call to Action Fraud and give them the number that called you. The GMC know these scams are going around. The scammer might even say your name, but don’t confirm anything.

Got a missed call from an unknown number this morning. They rang back about 15 minutes ago, but as soon as I picked up, they hung up.
