Got my mum to renew her contract and swap out her sim card, or so we thought. They took all her info but ended up signing her up to a new phone deal with Tesco Mobile without us knowing. Tesco sent the sim, but somehow a phone turned up instead. When we phoned back, the person arranged for a courier to pick up the phone, saying it was sent by mistake. Turns out the phone never made it back to Tesco but was sent off to a scammer linked to that number. So now, my mum’s stuck with an extra contract she didn’t agree to. Tesco Mobile’s fraud team are now looking into the whole thing.

Got a call that my phone flagged as maybe a scam, so I picked up and the person just hung up on me.

they really should find a way to stop these calls, its awful how they go after older folks like that. really something that needs sorting and those people held accountable.

I didn’t pick up since the number wasn’t saved in my phone, and then I just went ahead and blocked it.
