Got a call earlier from someone saying they were from Citizens Advice regarding an update on a claim. I told them it’s illegal to pretend to be the CAB, but the guy, with an Indian accent, said he never said he was Citizens Advice Bureau, just Citizens Advice UK, a charity. I asked where they were located and he said Manchester, then I asked for their charity registration number. He rattled off a long number, and when I started repeating it back to him, he just hung up on me. Definitely a SCAM.

Got a call from this number today. A lady with an Indian accent claimed she was from Citizens Advice, saying they had info that I was drowning in debt. I just snapped and said, “What’s this nonsense?” and she cut off straight away. I don’t owe a penny and I doubt Citizens Advice would ring from a mobile like that. Definitely dodgy!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from CAB regarding some unsecured debts. When I asked if they were really from CAB, they said yes. Then I tried to find out what debts they were talking about and they just ended the call. The caller had an Indian accent and you could hear loads of noise in the background like a call centre. I picked up thinking it was a mobile. The guy on the line had an Indian accent and was tricky to catch what he was saying. He claimed he was ringing from some credit investigation team. I had to ask him to say it again a few times. Then he told me I had unpaid debts that I was supposedly clearing every month. When I asked which firm he was with, he just ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying they were from 'Citizens Advice Bureau'. They said I was paying off a debt every month. I told them I’ve got no debts and haven’t been making any payments, so what was he on about? Then he said he could set me up with an IDVA. I told him I wasn’t interested and he just hung up. He sounded like he was outdoors. The creepy part is he actually knew my name.

Got a call from a bloke who knew my full name, acting all official. He kept insisting I owed some money and said if I shared my card info, he'd sort it without taking any money from my account. Claimed his firm had some deal with banks all over the UK. As soon as I heard that, I shut it down and told him in no uncertain terms to get lost. Then he just hung up. Proper dodgy stuff.
